Revelation (Virtually) rubs shoulders with royalty
Revelation at World Future Energy Summit (WFES 08)
The first ever World Future Energy Summit took place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre on the 21st-23rd January and has since been heralded a global success. The high profile event, organised by Turret Middle East, was attended by royalty, ministers, heads of state and company CEO's from 22 different coutries, along with the World's press.
We were production management company for the conference, it's opening ceremony and the gala dinner, as well as producing a specially commissioned video to launch the Sheikh Zayed Prize.
The summit commenced with an address from Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi in front of 3,500 people. Then, to demonstrate his commitment to the environment by reducing his carbon footprint, HRH the Prince of Wales gave an address as a 3Dhologram for which we were there to ensure that it was executed perfectly. The technology worked incredibly well and as a world first for any royal family, the audience were left wowed!
Our team managed local contractors whilst organising and coordinating all elements of production such as the stage and set construction, lighting, sound, rigging, crewing, IT network and the provision of Simultaneous Interpretation headsets for 2000 people that translated the speeches and presentations from Arabic to English. We also managed the AV equipment on all the exhibition floor features; even Princess Beatrice paid a visit to the Time Out Pavillion which had 4 Nintendo Wii's in it which people could play on and take a break from the exhibition.
The whole event was a huge success and we were honoured to be able to play a part in the launch of such a prestigious event. The worlds press interest has been immense and the development of plans for the next summit are already underway, with our teams in the UK and the Middle East closely involved.
