Revelation off to New Delhi for GO India

Revelation are off to India as production management company for GO India 2007, a brand new Gas & Oil exposition & conference being held in New Delhi in October 2007. Working alongside dmg World Media to produce the launch event, this is the first time that we have worked in India.

The production team have already been out to New Delhi to carry out a site inspection from which Go India project manager for Revelation, James Butler, has been able to obtain valuable information from venue staff and local suppliers. This will help with allocating the necessary resources to the event and in creating adequate briefs for each service provider.

Revelations job pre event and on-site is the management and liaison with all the local suppliers on crew. Butler comments, "For the event to run perfectly it is important that all contractors and suppliers are fully briefed and that they know exactly what is expected of them both in the preparation and delivery of their product but also onsite as well."

The venue, Pragati Maidan with a large conference auditorium that seats 250 people that we will manage for the duration of the show. The conference has a full programme of speakers spanning over the entire 3 days of the event and the team will be ensuring that their presentations are trouble-free as well as looking after them in the speaker preview lounge; an area where they will be able to review their presentations and relax before speaking. On the first day of the conference there is also an inauguration ceremony for 500 people where a number of high profile speakers from the Gas & Oil industry such as Ministers from the Indian Government will be present.

There are always challenges when working outside of Europe and on this event it is very important that the cultural and communicative differences that come with working in India are embraced and a good working relationship with everyone involved in the project is established and the events launch is a great success.
