British International Motor Show

BIMS - International Business Day Conference

Background

International Motor Industry Events Ltd (IMIE) were the official organisers of the British International Motor Show at ExCeL in London's Docklands after a 30-year absence of the event from the capital.

Working in partnership with its sister company London Events Co, IMIE promised a NEW look, NEW interactive experiences, NEW dates and more NEW and exciting cars than can be found anywhere else.

The prestigious event blends the traditional indoor car exhibits with a programme of outdoor displays, as well as presenting the Financial Times International Business Day, a one-day trade show in association with International Business Wales, which targeted the top 25,000 national and international motor industry delegates.

Solution

To make the radical new format a success Revelation were appointed the event production company for the Financial Times International Business Day and provided a full audio visual production service at the event. This included the design and production of the stage and set, as well as the dominant branding of the event with the all important sponsor logos.

Revelation’s role also included projection, sound, lighting design and installation across the two ExCeL conference suites in which the event was being staged.

In liaison with the client Revelation also took responsibility for the numerous speakers ensuring that their presentations ran smoothly and that they were professionally delivered.

Results

The event was a huge success and the organisers were extremely happy with the Revelation team and their invaluable input. When asked what one thing Revelation did exceptionally well at the event the response was “There was no one thing – as usual it was exceptionally good from start to finish!”

“Again, the whole Revelation team was excellent.”
