Central European Gas Conference

Background

Now in its 13th year, the Central European Gas Conference (CEGC) 2007 was held at Berlin's Kempinski Hotel. The event was established to provide an information platform for the rapidly developing gas industry of Central and Eastern Europe. This year's conference highlighted the challenges brought by environmental pressures, EU legislation and gas cuts.


Solution

Revelation Event Management was commissioned to provide a new and vibrant feel to an established conference whilst maintaining its integrity. The Revelation team were required to create an environment in which even the most prominent names in the gas industry could feel confident speaking about the issues facing their industry.

As part of Revelation's role as production management they were responsible for the set and stage design, that needed to make an impact on over 100 delegates and speakers. These were designed to specification and and then shipped to Berlin along with the all the AV equipment required at the event. Revelation also provided Project Managers, Data Technicians and some local crew to create a fully equipped and branded venue that complimented the speakers and content.

The visual design needed to include video projection, plasma screens, comfort monitors, graphics and signage as well as conference lighting throughout, this was all coordinated and supplied by Revelation.

Audio requirements included a full PA system, lectern microphones for the on-stage speakers' table and hand-held microphones for Q&A sessions. Additionally, due to the international nature of the conference, Revelation were asked to facilitate a translation service. This was achieved by constructing a fully equipped translation booth and providing technicians to translate as required.


Results

The CEGC was a huge success and the client was delighted with everything that was achieved. Revelation's willingness and ability to deliver a truly international event flawlessly only reinforced their confidence in the Revelation team.

Further to our success in Berlin, we are preparing for more international conferences including Go India 2007 in New Delhi and Gastech 2008 in Bangkok.
