Grocer Gold Awards - William Reed Publishing

Background

The Grocer Gold Awards have been developed by William Reed Publishing, publishers of The Grocer magazine, one of the most successful business journals in the country and read by professionals of the £100bn grocery industry. The awards are designed to recognise innovation and talent in the grocery industry.

This year the awards were held at the Dorchester Hotel, Park Lane, London.

Revelation Event Management has an established relationship with William Reed publishing and are well versed in providing innovative solutions for their events and exhibitions.

Revelation has produced the Grocer Gold Awards since it's launch in 2003, providing them with valuable experience at creating a professional, glamorous awards ceremony. This year The Grocer Gold Awards 2007 were presented by New Editor of The Grocer Magazine, Adam Layton.

In their role as production company, the Revelation team were responsible for designing the stage and set which this year included large freestanding bespoke sails which, was not only an innovative use of space, but also created a 3Dimensional backdrop to the stage, that, by the clever use of lighting gave every member of the audience a different perspective of the stage. The sails also gave sponsors high value placement.

In addition, Revelation dressed the drinks reception and foyer area with lighting in order to create an exciting start to the evening that was totally cohesive with the brand.

An awards lectern was supplied for the stage and autocue provided for presenters to easily follow the script. Themed walk up music for the award winners was carefully selected and edited pre-event and then managed on the evening by the on-site Revelation team.

Revelation also built a photograph booth with branded walls in the reception area for award nominees to have their photographs taken.


Results

William Reed were delighted with the continued success of the awards ceremony. When asked to comment on Revelation's performance the Event Manager stated, "The day was a huge success. The room looked exactly as described. Plus, the Revelation team were exceptional - extremely helpful and professional."
