Unipath 21st Birthday Celebration

Background

Dawson Walker PR invited Revelation to work for them to produce their client, Unipaths 21st birthday party. Unipath is one of the world’s leading women’s health diagnostic companies with over 500 employees in the UK. This year they celebrated their 21st birthday, and as they were born in the 80’s, how much better than to celebrate with a surprise 80’s themed afternoon to which every member of staff was invited. The celebration was held in Unipaths Bedford grounds.


Solution

Revelation supplied a whole host of fairground activities and outdoor games for all the staff. They were able to compete on the bungee run or on the laser quest, or join in with some human table football, or take a spin on the dodgems or the waltzers. For the less energetic they could lounge on the lawn by the lake and listen to the 80’s band and play a few garden games.

The main marquee was decorated with balloons and bunting in which guests adorned in dealy boppers, visors and 80’s sweat bands were treated to a hog roast & barbeque with jelly and choc ices for afters.

After all that is was time for the Fame break dancing class to kick off and to get down to some 80’s tunes on the multicoloured dance floor at the disco. If all that wasn’t enough to entertain there were comic actors dressed up as 80’s characters and a treasure hunt.

At the end of the day staff said goodbye with a piece of birthday cake and bottle of wine.

Revelation project and event managed the whole event, working for DWPR to create the kind of party that would really be memorable. We organised the logistics for all the activities and equipment needed on site, health and safety, as well as the extensive team that were onsite. We were responsible for ensuring the event ran perfectly and that everyone was having a great time. The on site team even dealt with the small issue of losing all power during the event!



Results

Both Unipath and DWPR were thrilled with the success of the day. All the staff enjoyed themselves and the day proved to be great fun.
